About the Signal Garden

The Signal.Garden is an ever-growing collection of discussions within the RADAR community about emerging futures, from the futures that point towards a better future, to the #futures-we-don’t-want. Over the last 3 years we’ve cultivated over 17,000 signals and 1,500 discussions across 17 categories of culture, this platform is the next stage of our journey to build the Signals ecosystem. An ecosystem where futures explorers build reputation and get rewarded for identifying emerging futures and RADAR can grow it's collective intelligence to help build better futures, support future makers and fund its growth.

Gardening is a natural metaphor for futures thinking. To quote gardener-writer — Georgina Reid, gardening is a framework for engagement in our world, grounded in care and action: “To garden is to care deeply, inclusively, and audaciously for the world outside our homes and our heads. To be a gardener is to give a fuck. To be a gardener is to be invested in a place — to know it, to protect it, and to be present.”

The Garden is a simple messaging platform, but it is the foundations for signal analysis, rewards and reputation - members can search across the garden, share posts, add comments, reply to others and bookmark content they care about.

The Garden is a collective artwork; creating a new garden everyday made from the content shared within the platform.

The Garden is an onchain database where members own their data; claiming their posts, comments and content as proof of their insights, foresight and prospectives. All data can only be unlocked by their private key, collectively contributing to the RADAR whole.

The Garden is where knowledge sharers get rewarded; Signal Gardeners receive a split from subscription fees based on their contributions, building an internal ecosystem of $SIGNAL bounties and rewards.

The journey of the Signal.Garden has only just began, starting with limited beta testing with RADAR members with the @SignalGardener role and then expanding to the community and beyond (based on a communal vote)
